Garrett and I chose to go south to Kerrville and spend this Thanksgiving with my "sister" by choice, Chris and her family, Paul and Katie, my adopt-a-niece. We had a great time with tons of delicious food, drink, conversation and laughs. We traveled to both Comfort and Fredricksburg. Comfort held the most antique shopping and unique items. Fredricksburg was having their "Country Peddler Show" but it was disappointing by comparison.
Garrett and I talked quite a bit during the driving. I seem to have lost my ability to take off on a long trip and not nod a single time. I lasted about 2 hours and then I would have a horrible time keeping my eyes open and Garrett would have to take over. Garrett was the champion sleeper when he was young. If the car rolled, his eyes closed but I'm afraid the tables have turned. He certainly drove more than he would have liked.

I do feel blessed with family and friends. We were able to enjoy ourselves and our friends. I certainly wouldn't mind doing it again!

Glad one holiday has past and you and Garrett had a chance to get away. Know how much you love Chris!
Always in my thoughts and prayers,
