Donna has carpel tunnel surgery at Baptist Saint Anthony's Hospital. Day surgery and all goes well. Oh, it is the right hand and terribly inconvenient. I can move my fingers but there's no strength and plenty of stitches.

Of all the times to have all my paper work to turn in to special education! So I hunt and pec with my left hand occasionally letting my right index finger strike a key. My hand goes to sleep and don't make the deadline. E-mail my lead speech therapist and say I'll get it in asap but I'm done for today.

I truly am minding my own business driving away from work when I'm hit on the passenger side of my relatively new Honda Odyssey. The vehicle rolled 3 times and I landed in the opposite lane going the opposite direction than previously. I was transported by ambulance to Northwest Texas Hospital. I had cuts on my left upper arm that went through the driver's side window under the air bags. An EMT that was outside one of the buildings nearby said that my head would have been the first thing to hit the pavement if it had not been for the airbags. No broken bones, no concusion. I was EXTREMELY sore for about 3 weeks! I'll forever be a proponent of wearing your seatbelt and advanced side air bags. Van is totalled!

At 10:00 a.m. I go to register to have surgery on my left shoulder, as I've got a bone spur and have damaged the labrum somehow. Well, the nurse calls in the doctor and says we're having no surgery. Some of my cuts are too close to where he'll be having to cut and he wants no chance of infection from some of my already pus covered cuts from the accident.
At 4:30 p.m. I go to the doctor to get my stitches out. My hand still isn't worth much. He tells me how to care for the wound and to keep a bandage on it for awhile. Still not supposed to be lifting with it---yeah, right! How heavy are groceries, dogs, and hoses pulled around the yard.

No surgery, school's out, calm day. Still sore with a worthless right hand.

My birthday is today and I turn 50+++. Trent has no memory of it, every reminder is forgotten equally so no need to take it personally. I bought some things for my self and tons of my friends had earlier given me all manner of wonderful things and thoughts.

Brett and Landry come in to help with things around the house and to take Trent to the El Indio Coaching Clinic. Trent usually really wants to go and it is Brett's Father's Day gift to take him. Flower beds get some weeding and mulch and the deck gets it's annual cleaning and water seal.

Brett, Garrett, and I got the an Elder Lawyer. It is a hard thing to do but as things have been going lately and my scare with the vehicle accident, the time is well spent. A few things need to be changed and I'll be getting on those things in the coming week.

Brett and Trent leave for El Indio. I breathe a sigh of relief. It is very peaceful around the house. These days Trent seems to be constantly searching for the dogs, trying to get them to play, and then telling them 'no' for every step they take. Peaceful.

I get up at my own pace. I have an appointment with one of my sanity promoters. I leave about 9:30 and get a call in the car. Granny has had an accident at Jan Werner's and they need my to come get her and take her to the emergency room. They think she may have broken her nose. Three hours later we find nothing broken except her spirit. Some things do bring about some good-Granny is no longer fighting the use of a cane!

I've had a few uneventful days. Today was Father's Day. We really celebrated it earlier when we bought some new clothes for him to wear to El Indio. Garrett came over and gave him a new shirt and Brett and Landry called. Whew!
