We had lots of excitement for my Spring Break. Brett, Kristy and Landry made the trek from Little Elm for a long anticipated visit. Part of their visit included time with the family dentist, Garrett. Poor Kristy, she needed an extraction of an old root canal and it turned out to be a tough one. Brett and Landry managed a good check-up.
Spring always brings about 'gardening fever' at our house and this one was no different. Landry was Papaw's right hand man. I've included a picture of the hard workers. Landry got his own set of tools and gardening gloves.
The five black and white animals at the house, Pugly, Cookie, Crash, Chappy, and Sedrick, kept the house a danger zone underfoot. Sedrick was the smart one. His solution was to get under our bed and stay there until everyone went to bed or was in their crate. Cookie and Crash are non-stop players. Pugly wants everyone to stop and just let him smell their hiney. That, of course, requires rather close contact with his smushed-in nose. Chappy wasn't feeling too well and required a trip to the vet. Then Chappy had to be kept away from the others. It was a three ring circus. Chappy appeared to be feeling better by the time they headed home. The funniest of all the episodes with the dogs was when Cookie and Crash were in a full tug of war over the frisbee. Pugly saw it as a real opportunity to get a really good smell of Crash's hiney. I have a great short video but I'm not sure if I can get it to post on the blog. We laughed until we cried.
At any rate, we had a great visit! I know how busy adult children are, but someday they will realize how the parents will value each minute with them even more.
